Growth (Part 2): Baby Steps! (10/13/2026)
Did you do your homework from Part 1? You should have a few definitions that you will continue to build upon. One is your definition of what it means to be a man. The other, the definition of masculinity.
Growth Part 1 - Attention Men!
These two definitions will continue to change and will require redefinition as we are fluid and words are static containers. With these definitions we will take baby steps to identify toxic or defeating traits in ourselves that destroy what we try to build upon. We are beginning with the foundational steps to handle the weight of being men.
We respect women and ourselves with positive definitions of what it means to be a man and what masculinity can do to get us where we should be.
We are working on ourselves as individuals that sparks growth, but we also should concentrate on Mob Mentality which can override our individual growth for communal harmony / conformity which can minimize our critical thinking.
The rule is when in a group, think of how you would respond or react to a situation you find troubling as an individual. Remember your two definitions from Part 1 and act accordingly. Make your critical analysis and thoughts and make them known to the group.
If you made your decision on the situation and remain quiet or stoop to Mob Mentality, you need to go back to step 1 and redefine what it means to be a man and what masculinity means to you. This is what I am referring to in Part 1 where you could get physically hurt or injured by the group when you stand up as an individual to protect someone that cannot do so themselves. Growing into a man is not easy as physical, mental and emotional beatings indoctrinate us since boyhood but that does not mean that you should do the same to others. Lessons taught today might take a lifetime for someone to understand. Something you do today could help someone along their journey.

Define what it means for you to be a man, understand what masculinity can achieve for you, respect women and yourself and rise above the crowd to deliver your message.
