Vintersorg - Vattenkrafternas Spel (10/30/2025)
Say the latest title ten times by Vintersorg real fast in English. "The Play of Water Power" would be much easier for me to say than speaking Swedish "Vattenkrafternas Spel" and this title falls in line with the content that his band covers: Good metal music and nature.
The twelfth album was released earlier this year and has the usual elements with the addition of a deeper grow on a few songs including Störtsjö (Barrage).
I have listened to Vintersorg since Cosmic Genesis was released and have been a fan ever since. This is a band where I cannot find a song that I do not like.
We have only been gifted a few albums since 2014's Naturbål as life does have the natural ability to get in the way which has led to some delays in releasing music due to health issues.
With the release of Vattenkrafternas Spel, I hope the health issues are minimal and we can continue to enjoy the fine folk metal music from Vintersorg.
Every song on this album is beyond great and continues to cement Vintersorg's name into the folk metal scene. There is no need to break down each song as they are all excellent.
