The Man Stance (08/30/2025)

You have seen the stance. It's at every barbeque. A beer in hand and several "alpha" men in a small semi-circle arc or lined up shoulder to shoulder in the "King of the Hill" stance.

If you take several insecure alpha males and place them in a circle, they will fan out like a pair of polarizing magnets. These men cannot stand face to face unless there is a hostel situation and ready to fight.

I like to challenge these alpha arcs and stand right in front of them. It's against the bro code but I don't care as I like to witness the awkward moment when they must bounce off each other and create a different line or arc.

The arc is there so it can regenerate when an inferior man (in the alpha man's eyes) steps in line, they can reform to cut him out of their conversation.

I have seen this occur and it has happened to me on several occasions. I stepped in on the end to not break protocol and to be accepted into their arc. I was accepted at first but then my friend who I stood next to decided to turn his back toward me, thus cutting me out of the arc. It was a dick move.

We aren't friends anymore (his wife tried to have sex with me on a few occasions) and we decided to cut them from our lives. I say "we/our" as I have been married for 25 years and won't cheat on my wife. His wife ended up ruining theirs and another family but that what you get when you marry an insecure alpha male.

I don't attend neighborhood events anymore and prefer to remain at home with my family without the toxic alpha male bullshit.

I also try to stay away from work-related events too but sometimes you must put in some face time. This is when I have fun and try to break the alpha male conversation arcs with toxic colleagues.

Are you a secure male?
